Our Location:
Koutu Lodge is situated on the south shore of the Hokianga Harbour.  It is 5 minutes drive from Opononi.  About 4.3 km from Opononi towards Kaikohe,  you turn left into Koutu Loop Road.  You drive for 2.3 km and then you can see our sign "Koutu Lodge" on the right of the road. 

We are as well close to the towns of Omapere and Waima.

Our Rooms:
2 bedrooms at Koutu Lodge have ensuites and 1 has a private bath room for your total privacy.  Our beds are all new,   high quality and very  comfortable. 

2 rooms have their own private entrance,  each with its own deck,  to guarantee you absolute privacy at all times.

Our  lounge has the most spectacular view of the Hokianga Harbour,  right across to the sand dunes over to the other side of the crystal clear waters of the Harbour.

Our Garden
We have 2 acres of park like garden in which you might like to stroll around and enjoy the many decorative plants.  Or you can see where the veggies are grown,  used in our lovely dinners that can be requested.

Who can resist a fishing trip ?		 Look at their faces !If you like to fish,  we can arrange it easily.  There is still plenty of fish around,  you will love it !!!

We can find a lot of snapper of all sizes.

The Hokianga Harbour is well sheltered from the heavy seas of the West Coast of New Zealand.  The ideal fishing place indeed.

Local knowledge of where to go and what to see is a great advantage if you are on a tight timetable. Did you know that more people signed the Treaty of Waitangi on the shores of the renown Hokianga Harbour at Horeke (NZ second oldest European Settlement) than at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds?
