This is the little
church in Horeke, on a still day. The Harbour, like a mirror reflects the immense beauty
which can be reflected on for a long time. But this stillness can be very deceiving too.
Violent storms have claimed many lives, but people themselves destroyed lives as well. The
first execution in new Zealand took place on the little island on the right, called Hang
Man Island.
