THE DRIVE TO THE HOUSE

The drive to the house is about 1 km long and stony. We moved this house into the valley a further 500 m back from the old cottage, where we can view the Hokianga Harbour. The entire house was moved in on a truck, in one piece. We had to bulldoze a large road to ensure easy transport of this massive volume. The deck with its green house underneath and the porch in the back was added on later. Just 100 m behind the house starts the native bush. |
