| The
Boulder
Loop
track starts
on the left
valley side of the Wairere Boulders. It can be enjoyed even in wet
conditions. It takes about 1 hour
to walk the track. Good walking shoes are still necessary as the ground can be
slippery or the metal can be loose and roll. The
track leads over many stairs, steps and bridges up the valley to the lower part of
the boulders.
There is a side loops
which is worth seeing, the Dragon's Cave.
